Chromatodisc Sample Syringe FiltersGL Sciences’ Chromatodisc syringe filters have provided chromatographers worldwide with predictable, reproducible sample filtration for over 20 years.
Three basic filters types are available.Type "A" refers to a hydrophilic polyolefin membrane encased in a polypropylene housing and used for highly aqueous (water soluble) samples, particularly proteins and peptides. Type "P" is to a hydrophilic PTFE membrane in a polypropylene housing and used for pharma applications on small organic molecules dissolved in pure organic or aqueous / organic solutions. Type "P" filters have a convenient property of not-needing pre-wetting of the membrane prior to filtration. Type P are our most commonly used Chromatodisc sample filters.
Type "N" is characterized by a hydrophobic PTFE membrane encased in polypropylene housing and used for (mainly) non-polar samples dissolved in neat organic solvents or strong acids and bases. Type "N" filters are the most durable, chemically-resistant of the Chromatodisc line.
Chromatodisk filters are available in 0.2 micron and 0.45 micron pore sizes in 4mm, 13mm, and 25mm membrane diameters.
